Parts work approaches—including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Ego State Therapy, Voice Dialogue, and other state- or parts-oriented models—offer powerful frameworks for helping clients externalize internal conflicts, cultivate self-awareness, and foster greater internal integration.
This experiential training explores how visual imagery can deepen parts work by providing clients with concrete, symbolic representations of their internal experiences. Using tarot card imagery as one example of a projective visual resource, you will learn ethical, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive strategies for facilitating dialogue among internal parts, exploring protective patterns, identifying unmet needs, and supporting psychological flexibility.
Emphasis will be placed on maintaining a client-led, metaphorical approach that honors diverse belief systems while remaining grounded in established clinical principles. My goal is for you to leave this training with immediately applicable techniques that you can use with a wide range of clients, regardless of whether they have any prior familiarity with tarot.

No prior experience with tarot is necessary

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
Describe the theoretical foundations of parts work approaches and explain how visual imagery can facilitate the externalization and exploration of internal parts.
Identify ethical, cultural, and informed consent considerations when incorporating tarot card imagery as a projective therapeutic tool in clinical practice.
Differentiate between metaphorical, client-centered use of tarot imagery and predictive or spiritual interpretations that fall outside the scope of psychotherapy.
Apply structured interventions that utilize tarot imagery to facilitate communication among protective, vulnerable, critical, and resilient parts of the self.
Adapt visual imagery interventions to meet the developmental, cultural, spiritual, and clinical needs of diverse client populations while maintaining trauma-informed practice.
Implement practical parts work activities that integrate visual imagery to enhance client insight, emotional regulation, self-compassion, and movement toward therapeutic goals.

Refund Policy
Full refunds will be given for any reason up to 24 hours before the training (just send me a message). Since you will have received all of the handouts for the training the day before we meet, I will be unable to provide a refund if you have to cancel within that 24 hour period.
